250 ways to...

This booklet came from the Culinary Arts Institute, one of America's foremost organizations devoted to the science of Better Cooking. The booklet dates to 1940 and contains several pages of detailed information on cooking various types of meat.

Homemakers generally got 250 Ways to Prepare Meat as part of a newspaper cookbook promotion that worked thusly:

She would buy a local paper, clip out a coupon offering the booklet, pay the 10-cent newspaper office fee, or order for 15 cents by mail. It was often part of a collection that culminated in a 20-volume set.
