A simple breakfast of coffee, juice and toast was often considered enough. |
The breakfasts we had in the 50s and 60s were quite basic: Cereal, some fruit. Or, if in a hurry, coffee and toast with butter or jam. But if there was time: an egg, slice of toast with jam; a piece of fruit and a piece of some kind of meat. Sorry but as working the farm became something fewer and fewer people did for a living, the amount of food they needed shrank.
That said, this section is the Breakfast Nook, so to speak, meaning it's not a large section, it's a nook!
