- 3 sticks SALTED butter, softened
- 3 cups of sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups sifted SDCF
- 1/2 pint heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees
- Butter and flour a 10" tube pan or loaf pan.
- Sift flour and lightly spoon 3 cups into a measuring cup.
- Combine sugar and butter and cream.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add flour and whipping cream alternately.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour into pan.
- Bake for around 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Cool completely.
You could make a more vanilla flavored cake by increasing extract to 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
