Tofu is healthy if you can handle soy. If not, you can use shredded chicken or cubed chicken.
- 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 head of lettuce, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Press the tofu to remove excess water.
- Cut into cubes and set aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.
- Push the tofu to the side and add the garlic.
- Cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Add the lettuce: Add the lettuce and cook until wilted.
- Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
- Serve hot with rice
