Tofu Stir-Fry

Tofu is healthy if you can handle soy. If not, you can use shredded chicken or cubed chicken.

  • 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess water. 
  2. Cut into cubes and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  4.  Add the tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Push the tofu to the side and add the garlic. 
  6. Cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  7. Add the lettuce: Add the lettuce and cook until wilted.
  8. Stir in the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili flakes (if using), salt, and pepper.
  9. Serve hot with rice
