Italian Steak & Veggies

Another simple and easy to make meal that will satisfy!

FOR FOUR

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 onion, cut in strips
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, cut in strips
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound beef cubed steaks
  • 1 (14-1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes, no salt added

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. 
  2. Cook the peppers, onion, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper for 5 minutes. 
  3. Remove to a plate and set aside. 
  4.  Add the cube steaks to the same skillet and cook 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned, turning once. 
  5.  Add the tomatoes to the skillet . 
  6. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until meat is tender
I would serve this with a side salad and maybe some mashed potatoes.
