Honey Garlic Chicken Bites

Chicken Bites

  • 8 skinless, boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Sauce

  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons everything bagel seasoning (optional)

  1. Pat chicken dry with paper towel towels; cut into bite-size pieces (about 1 inch).
  2. Sprinkle chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and garlic granules.
  3. Lightly dredge chicken pieces into the cornstarch, leaving a thin dusting.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; sear chicken pieces until golden on all sides, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  5. Remove chicken pieces and set aside.
  6. Add minced garlic to the same skillet; sautée until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  7. Stir in chicken broth, honey, and soy sauce. Let sauce bubble gently for 1 to 2 minutes, without boiling.
  8. Return chicken pieces to the pan, and stir to coat; cook until sauce is slightly thickened and clings to chicken pieces.
  9. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
