The good thing about this mix is that its not only storage safe, it also works for basically anything you want to make in terms of soup mixes!
- 4 cups dry skim milk powder
- 1½ cups cornstarch
- 4 tsp dried onion flakes
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp pepper
- Measure all ingredients and place them in a large Ziploc bag.
- Shake vigorously, transfer to a vacuum-sealed bag or other well-sealed container, and store for up to a year.
- In a medium pot, combine 1/3 cup or 1/18 of the mix with 1 cup no or low-sodium chicken or vegetable broth.
- Cook over low – medium heat until it thickens.
- OR if you have to add Herb-Ox Chicken flavor into your mix, just add 1 cup of water.
This is equivalent to one can of soup.
Add 1/2 cup of minced anything you want to add a different flavor.
