I can remember the bowl of Chex Mix coming out at parties and church dances. Someone always brought it and, until the crockpot came out, this was made on the stove in a large pot. To be honest, it's not something that I make regularly but I do like it at times. And its nice on a cold winter night.
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 4 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp seasoning salt (you can omit)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp sugar
Dissolve the above together and pour over a mixture of Chex cereal, pretzels, broken tortilla chips, nuts, or whatever you prefer, up to 6 cups.
Toss in the crockpot and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours on low, stirring every 30 minutes until warm and toasty.
Leave in the pot on warm until ready to serve.
