- 1 lb split green peas, sorted and rinsed well
- 2 quarts vegetable broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 large chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 3 chopped celery ribs
- 2 bay leaves (optional)
- salt and pepper to taste
- Combine everything in your slow cooker and cook for 5-6 hours or until peas are very soft.
- Remove bay leaves
- Cream with an immersion blender
