This is a fancy name for Cheese puffs. What I like about them is that they're easy to make and they can make a good, quick snack. You're making a choux and that's easy to do!
- 1 cup water
- 8 tbsp butter (cold and cut up)
- 1 cup flour
- 4 eggs (room temp)
- 1/4 cup cheese, grated
- dash salt if desired
- Heat the water on the stove to the boiling point and add in the butter to melt.
- Plop the flour in all at once and begin stirring over the heat to cook the flour.
- Remove to the stand mixer and beat to cool off to room temperature
- Add in one egg at a time, incorporating fully
- Add in the cheese and stir in
- You can pipe these or spoon them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment but make them uniform in size.
- Bake at 400 degrees until they rise and turn deep golden brown.
