German Chocolate Pound Cake

  •  2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp butter
  • 1 bar melted Germans chocolate
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup buttermilk

  1. Sift together the flour, soda and salt, set aside.
  2. Melt the chocolate on low and add the butter
  3. Cream the shortening with the sugar
  4. Add the butter and melted chocolate to the shortening/sugar
  5. Add in the eggs followed by the buttermilk
  6. Add in the dry.
  7. Bake at 300 for 1.5 hours.
