This is an excellent low-carb burger. You can make these in advance (along with the extras) and have them ready to go for dinner. You do NOT have to serve them on a bun, either! You can use lettuce as a wrap or just have them with the dill sauce!
The Burgers
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
- 1/2 red onion, divided (1/2 finely diced, 1/2 thinly sliced)
- 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained and finely chopped
- In a medium bowl mix ground turkey, feta crumbles, diced red onion, and finely chopped sun-dried tomatoes.
- Divide the turkey mixture evenly and form into patties. (4 patties = approx. 4 oz each, 8 patties = approx. 2 oz each).
- Heat grill to medium-high heat.
- Add patties and cook for 7 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reaches 165F. (Note: The smaller the patties, the less cooking time required.)
Dill Yogurt Sauce
- 7 oz plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tablespoon dried dill or 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Save extra to eat with other meats, seafood, veggies, or salad.
Burger Fixings:
