Basic Glaze

  •  2 cups sifted confectioners sugar
  •  1/2 stick melted butter
  •  2 tbsp heavy cream
  •  extracts as desired

  1.  Combine sugar and butter in a medium bowl.
  2.  Stir in 2 tbsp heavy cream.
  3.  If desired, add extract.
  4.  Beat until smooth and creamy and add more cream if needed.
  5.  Drizzle over cooled cake.

NOTE: IF YOU want to elevate the flavors of any citrus you use, instead of 2 tbsp heavy cream use 1 tbsp heavy cream and 1 tbsp citrus juice of choice.
