Ah, the ever-famous cheeseball! Seen at every holiday meal, every smart dinner party, and even at teen gatherings, the cheeseball peaked in popularity in the sixties. It's one of the easiest things to make and one of the tastiest things to serve!
- 5 packages (2 ounces each) thinly sliced dried beef (Budings makes these but you could use the canned stuff if you weigh out 10 oz)
- 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup finely chopped sweet onion
- 4 drops Worcestershire sauce
- Ritz crackers and assorted fresh vegetables
- Place beef in a food processor; pulse until finely chopped.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Stir in 2/3 cup beef, the onion, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Refrigerate, covered, at least 1 hour.
