Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

  • 16 oz flank or boneless sirloin steak, cut into strips, raw weight
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tbsp McCormick lower sodium brown gravy mix 
  • 2 1/2 tbsps lite soy sauce 
  • 3/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper 
  • 1 10 oz package broccoli florets (cooked from frozen)
  • 3 oz green bell peppers, sliced 
  • 3 oz red bell peppers, sliced 
  • 6 oz cauliflower rice, cooked from frozen (optional: brown rice, 11/2 cups cooked)

  1. Combine gravy mix, soy sauce, garlic powder, black pepper, and water in a small bowl. 
  2. Set aside.
  3. Spray a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat. 
  4. Add steak; cook and stir 3 to 4 minutes or until desired doneness. 
  5. Do not over cook.
  6. Stir in broccoli, peppers, and gravy mixture. 
  7. Bring to a boil. 
  8. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 to 8 minutes or until broccoli is tender crisp. 
  9. Serve each portion with 1/2 cup grated cauliflower.
