- 3/4 cup Grapenuts cereal (Post)
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
- Prepared whipped topping
- Combine cereal and water; let stand until water is absorbed.
- Blend eggs, sugar, butter, syrup, vanilla and salt.
- Fold in softened cereal.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Bake at 350°F for 50 minutes or until filling is puffed completely across top.
- Cool and add whipped topping.
