  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2  cup sour cream (or plain Greek yogurt)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup red and green sprinkles

For the glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2–3 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Extra sprinkles for topping

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour a 9x5” loaf pan.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating well.
  6. Mix in vanilla, sour cream, and milk until smooth.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet and stir just until combined.
  8. Gently fold in the festive sprinkles — don’t overmix, or they’ll bleed!
  9. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  10. Bake 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. For the glaze, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
  13.  Drizzle over the cooled loaf and decorate with more sprinkles!
