Memaws Lower sodium, Lower Sugar Barbecue sauce

Barbecue sauce can really be as tasty or bland as you like it, and if you haven't noticed, the store shelves are full of so many types and flavors, well, reading every label is an eternal proposition. So here's what I propose: make your own! It really isn't difficult, and for the person with dietary needs, this is a God-send! If you like to use barbecue sauce a lot, I recommend a double or triple batch, just to be ready!

  •  1 cup low-sodium, no-salt-added tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 2 tbsp Splenda Brown Sugar for Baking
  • 2 tsp smoked sweet paprika powder
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp no salt added tomato paste

  1. Place everything into a pan and whisk.
  2. Warm up and simmer for 5 minutes on low, covered.
  3. Place in a jar and refrigerate.
