Okay now this is a little different from the ham and noodle casserole your Mom made because its piggy origin isn't the meat off the hambone from Sunday's dinner. No, its canned ham. A depression era favorite.
This is for four people
- 2 1/1 cups cooked pasta, drained
- 1 5oz can ham, drained and flaked
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 c milk
- 1/4 c crispy onions
- Lightly grease an 8x6 baking dish
- Set the oven to 350 to preheat
- Combine the ham, soup, and milk and pour into the baking dish
- Top with the onions and bake for 20 minutes
If you want to upgrade this, add in some canned and rinsed baby peas (1/2 cup) or peas and carrots (drained and rinsed) right before baking.
