Creamed Peas

  • 1 package (10 ounces) frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  1. Cook peas according to package directions.
  2.  Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, melt the butter. 
  3. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until blended; gradually add milk and sugar. 
  4. Bring to a boil; cook and stir until thickened, 1-2 minutes. 
  5. Drain peas; stir into the sauce and heat through.
