- 12 oz. bittersweet chocolate
- 1 1/2 cup unsalted butter (3 sticks)
- 2 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup plus 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- flake salt, for garnish
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Carefully line a 9x13” baking pan with foil and spray the foil with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a medium sized saucepan, warm the chocolate and butter over low heat, stirring regularly until both are melted.
- Once melted set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour in the melted chocolate and butter, and whisk again until smooth.
- Fold the flour, salt, and walnuts into the chocolate, just until everything is combined (do not over mix).
- Pour batter into prepared baking pan and bake for 30-40 minutes, until there are moist crumbs attached to the toothpick.
If the brownies are still not yet done at the 40 minute mark, continue baking in 3-5 minute increments until done.
