- 1.5 cups Self-rising flour
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 1/2 cup cold butter
- 1 large egg
- 3 cups sliced fresh plums, peaches or apples (around 1.5 lbs)
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- Preheat oven to 375
- Coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with spray or goop
- Combine flour and 1/2 cup sugar in a large bowl
- Cut the butter in by hand or use your processor until it resembles coarse crumbs
- Whisk the egg and milk together
- Stir in the flour mixture until just evenly moistened
- Spread evenly on the prepared pan
- Overlap slices of fruit in rows on top of the batter
- Combine the 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl
- Sprinkle evenly over the fruit
- Drizzle with melted butter
- Bake for 28-35 minutes or until golden brown.
